This is the first album on this microblog that’s come out of my recent deep dive into metal and metalcore. I would guess that most first time listeners will find this project to be prohibitively sonically grating, and I totally get that; for a long time I also strictly avoided unclean vocals. However, now acclimated, I absolutely love this album.
I couldn’t say that the music is fascinatingly complex, and I also couldn’t say that I relate to most of the lyrical content, but I’ll be damned if the raw emotion in every single track connects any less. My favorite tracks are A Boy Brushed in Red Living In Black and White and Reinventing Your Exit.
