Biweekly Listen

Hozier has been on my radar ever since he released Take Me to Church, which instantly and deservedly took him mainstream. But until recently, I’d gravitated away from pop/alt-pop, and so I wasn’t really aware of this album but for the big single, Movement, until a friend of mine played No Plan for me.

Life changing.

I mean, it’s not revolutionary or anything, but I just absolutely adore the way Hozier puts these tracks together, especially No Plan and Movement. There’s something so empowering and moving about his soulful vocals, I can barely come up with words to describe it.
