Diving back into my moodier favorites, any list of my recommendations would be remiss without Radiohead, and in particular, Amnesiac. Though I can’t claim to be a Radiohead expert, one of my favorite parts of this project is what seems to be their signature, subtle experimental elements, coupled with their enigmatic lyrics and fitting instrumentals. Not to mention I’m a sucker for finales, and this record has one of my favorites.
As has become a trend on this side of the site, I have to thank Ethan Dodd for originally playing Pyramid Song for me - he’s unarguably what got me into Radiohead to begin with. Keep an eye out for his new album, Becoming by D Squared, which I’ll be mentioning on this blog in the near future.
